In today’s 2-Minute BD Moment, I share my own experiences of what happens when I talk myself out of a sale by failing to recognize a client’s verbal and non-verbal cues.

I also highlight a framework for effective listening in sales, emphasizing the importance of understanding clients' perspectives, data, and big ideas then customizing the messages to the individual.

Self-awareness is vital to success but it’s only one part of the equation. With empathy and curiosity for the person on the other side of the table, we ensure more targeted success in our business interactions.
